Q. How
do I design the front or back of a
t-shirt?
A. Our design studio allows you to
make a 14 x 16 inch design that will fit on either the front
or back of a t-shirt. You decide at checkout time what design
will go on the front and back. You can create seperate designs
for the front and back and select them during checkout.

Q. Why
can't I choose a specific shirt in your
design studio?
A. The design studio is used to
create a 14 x
16 design and nothing else. Your designs
are stored online for you to pick from when you checkout. Decoupling designs from garments allows
for greater flexibility when ordering other sizes and types of apparel. [TOP]
Q. Can I request special changes to my design?
A. No. All designs
are printed exactly as you see them in the
design studio. Much of our artwork is open source and available
at www.OpenClipArt.org for you to download and modify.
If you want to make changes to our stock
clip art simply upload the modified clip art using the Upload feature
of the studio.

Q. Do you
print white ink? Can you
print on dark colored shirts?
A. We do not offer white ink
printing at this time. We do not feel that our
customers would be happy with the white ink printing that
is commonly available. This process is being used
with some success, but it requires special
pre-treatment of
the garment, and is frankly a little too finicky for a production
environment.

Q. How
are white areas of my design printed since you
cannot print white ink?
A. White areas in your
design will be the color of the shirt you are printing on.
If you print on a yellow shirt then all areas that are white in your
artwork will be yellow on the shirt.

Q. How big
is the design area of the t-shirt design studio?
A. We can print a maximum of 14
wide by 16 inches tall. The design studio limits you to 13.75
inches wide by 15.5 inches tall.

Q. Can I upload artwork to be printed?
A. Yes. You can
upload a single image that is no larger than 10 inches wide by
8.3 inches tall. Using the studio resize feature can
shrink this size to 25% of the original if needed.

Q.
What are the specifications for artwork uploaded as part of
a design?
A. The specifications for artwork uploaded to the design
studio:
- Dimensions: 10 inches wide by
8.3 inches tall.
- File Types: JPG set to 100% (best) quality.
- Resolution: 300 DPI recommended (72 DPI
will work but with poor quality).

Q. Why
does my uploaded artwork look grainy? Will the shirt come out like that?
A. We scale your uploaded
artwork to a very low quality image of the correct scale to
keep it as small as possible (smaller means faster download
speec) in the design studio. When we print your shirt the
original image is used and no quality
is sacrificed.

Q. How
close does the finished product look to what is in the
design studio?
A. If you take a
screen capture of the studio and compare it to the production artwork they match to
within a pixel or two which translates to .080 inches or
80 thousandths of an inch.

Q. Can I get a replacement shirt
if I am not happy?
A. We will print a replacement
shirt if the shirt has a material defect or if the
printing is somehow defective. If uploaded artwork
is the source of the poor printing we can not offer a
replacement shirt.

Q. I want
to place a big order can
I get proofs of my design?
A. In
our opinion, the best proof is simply ordering a
sample garment. We offer t-shirts for $10 printed on one side
and shipped in 3-4 days. It makes a lot of sense to order a single unit before
committing to a larger order. There is no substitute for seeing your design printed
on a shirt with a person wearing it.

Q. How much does it cost to print a shirt?
A.The cost of printing depends on how many items you order and the number of locations to be printed. Consult our price chart to determine the cost of printing.
